Web Radio
Free Download of WebRoft
Version 0.4
|
WebRoft is the software application that runs in a PC and communicates
with rRemote via a USB port. It can also work as a stand alone
application as long as Real Player has been installed in your PC. WebRoft
is copyrighted and is governed by general International copyright laws.
When it is shipped in a CD-ROM, it comes with an install-shield and all
the required Java components including the Runtime. Currently, it
only works in MS Windows systems.
For the Internet download, we separate it into a few components. First you
have to download the core,
WebRadio.zip( 500KB ) and then unzip it
into a directory. After unzip, you should find the jar file WebRadio.jar,
some images in subdirectoy images, sample sound files
in subdirectory samples, a few DLLs, band.xml, and setclpath.bat.
The file
band.xml contains the radio channels; you can edit this file
to include new channels or delete unwanted ones. The file
setclpath.bat sets the class path using the following statement:
set classpath=%classpath%;./jmf.jar;./xerces.jar;./WebRadio.jar
If you do not have Java installed in your PC, you have
to download and install the Java Runtime from
java.sun.com. You also need the Java file
jmf.jar ( 2.2MB )and the parser file
xerces.jar ( 1.4MB )
which should be put in the same directory as file WebRadio.jar.
To run the application, you just need to execute the two statements
setclpath
java WebRadio
You should see a GUI similar to the following figure:
